Administrative Assistant, Venebio Group, LLC

Janice Sargent serves as the Administrative Assistant for Venebio Group, LLC and its subsidiary companies, Venebio Intellectual Property Development, LLC, and algorithmRx, LLC.

Janice has over 25 years of experience in office administration and management with specific experience in event planning and convention management. She is also experienced in the biotechnology field.

Janice has served several companies in administrative and office management positions including Kings Dominion, Hyatt Hotels, and Lawyers Title. Upon the birth of her first child, she transitioned to “virtual” administrative positions with smaller companies in order to spend time with family. In 2003, Janice became the assistant to the Executive Director of the Virginia Biotechnology Association, the 200+ member statewide non-profit trade association representing the life sciences industry in the Commonwealth of Virginia. For two years, she managed member services and was also an integral part of state convention planning. Janice was instrumental in increasing membership and supporting the Association’s advocacy for the life sciences with federal, state and local policy makers. She maintains a relationship with Virginia Bio as a consultant on special projects.

Janice joined Venebio in 2010 and serves as Administrative Assistant with oversight of general office operations.

In her spare time, Janice is a vocalist, a choir director and homeschooling Mom to two teenaged daughters.
